Clara
Cello, Guitar, Music Theory
Clara started playing the piano at four and the cello at seven. At thirteen, she was accepted into the Marryatville High School specialist interest music program. There she participated in a multitude of ensembles, including choirs, big bands and chamber groups, eventually becoming music captain in her final year of study. She was a member of the Adelaide Youth Orchestras for five years, including the now retired Pernambuco String Quartet. In 2018, Clara completed her Certificate of Performance, and was awarded Associate of Performance the following year.
Clara is currently completing her Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) at the Elder Conservatorium of Music under the tuition of Simon Cobcroft. Her interests are wide, including chamber music, pedagogy, experimental music, solo works and improvisation. In her free time, Clara enjoys bushwalking and playing with her folk band ‘Eyrie’.
