A Dream and Gift for Life

Learning to play a musical instrument is very rewarding and fulfilling, and we pride ourselves in making this opportunity available for students wishing to learn.
A lifetime of musical opportunity and talent could be discovered if given the chance. The satisfaction of sharing this gift with family and friends is also very exciting.
To play a musical instrument is a dream that many people have had throughout their life.
Recognised as one of the most popular instruments, the piano has been the chosen instrument of outstanding musicians, composers and music educators for generations, providing all the fundamental requirements for further music education.
Kylie - AAGM, MAGTR

Kylie Hall has had extensive experience in music teaching (over 20 years), plus local, interstate and overseas performances opportunities. As an active member of the Theatre Organ Society of Australia, Kylie has been the recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Organ Society's "Young Organist of the Year" competition, winning the Senior Division in 1995, plus the ROTOSA Competition in 1993. With many other performances, fundraising and a recording "Debut" - released in 1993, Kylie brings opportunities of performance for her students. She was also awarded outstanding achievement certificates for Practical Grade 4, 5 and 7 on Electronic Organ by the Australian Guild of Music and Speech. One of these awards was for the highest marks in both Australia and New Zealand in the two series of practical examinations held during 1988. She obtained her Associate Diploma on Theatre Pipe Organ (the first to do so in Australia) and Grade 7 theory in 1996.
Kylie's focus for her successful teaching of her students, is to have fun whilst learning as she believes that the most successful students are those who enjoy their music. Goal setting and learning the style of music that the student enjoys is encouraged as early as possible and contributes to the very high standard and student retention rate that she has. All teaching is conducted through individual tuition and adapted for the individual students needs. Musical instruments and styles offered are modern and classical piano and electronic keyboard. Kylie is also able to teach the Electronic Organ, however as this is an infrequent request at this stage, her focus is on piano students.
Music school functions are arranged throughout the year which include student concerts, workshops and student exam performance practices. Opportunities for exams through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB), are available, or students can just play for fun and pleasure.
Kylie holds a valid Police Check, Working with Children's Check, Catholic Education Police Check, and Music Teacher Public Liability Insurance.
Kylie manages to run her own business, teaching many varied level students each week and spending family time with her very supportive husband and 2 young sons. In her few spare moments she enjoys spending time with the family dog 'Presto' who loves to run fast and enjoys the dog sport, Flyball.
Kylie looks forward to discussing your musical dreams and providing you with a fun and friendly learning environment.
